Honestly, that’s been my emotion for 9 years since my Mom left this world. Numb. I smile just so that others don’t see the pain. I have struggled with losing her.

As I sit here, getting ready to go into my own battle, I wonder what would Mom say. I imagine she would smile (to hide the pain) and then would grab me and hold me until the sobbing stopped. She would then tell me to go wash off my face and then we will talk. She listens intently as I tell her my latest news. Mom would say, “Now stop crying. You are only going to get a stuffy nose and a headache.” Mom would go on to say, “You will be okay. It is all going to be alright. You have got to keep praying.”

The reality is that she is not here. I now must put the armor on and pretend like it’s okay.

However, it’s not okay. Life as I know it is slowly crumbling and changing. I feel like there is a landslide coming soon. I have to wonder though if this feeling is all because of our world in the last 3 months. There has been so much fear, anger, hatred…unrest.

Tonight I am pondering why I was given the word “restoration”. There certainly has not been anything restored. Back on my New Year’s post, I had said that my faith is unshakeable. Well, my faith is strong but it has been shaken.

Tonight, I am kneeling for peace, comfort of fears, renewed hope, and restoration of this world so that the numbness we feel in our souls is replaced by a renewing energy. I am tired of being numb…comfortably numb.

Good Generation #free sample #ad

I found this website called Good Generation. You can find it here: http://www.generationgood.com/

It is a community and an opportunity to exchange ideas and tips with others like you who care about raising the next generation in a healthy environment. You’ll be able to participate in discussions, share your feedback and opinions on all things Seventh Generation and you can complete surveys that help us better understand you and what you’re looking for.

I answer surveys and get offered free samples. I participate in forum discussions and give an honest opinion on different subjects or products.

One of the first questions asked was the following: We are all #generationgood by being here in this community and helping to ensure the health of our families and the planet we all share. What motivates you specifically, and what are some of the things you personally do that make you #generationgood?

My response was very simple: My family enjoys camping and being outdoors. We make sure to instill good values into our children so that this world will be a better place. We teach them to love others and that we must take care of the earth.

A beautiful day at our happy place!

Much love and blessings to all!

Here’s to the New Year!

Happy 2020!

Reflecting on 2019 and I am glad to put it behind. My word for 2019 was Faith and let me tell you, there were many moments where my faith was challenged. I had to dig deep to keep on praising God through my Dad’s stroke and his second stint in the hospital from having pneumonia. There were tears and frustration. Broken heart when I thought my own family hated me. (That was a lie told to me by the enemy.) Even deeper to get through parenting struggles and realizing that I am a very imperfect Mom. In fact, this Mom is messy and falling apart…far from perfect.

Moving forward into 2020 feels so good!

When thinking of my 2020 word, restoration, I am extremely curious about the first 4 letters-REST. I wonder will rest lead to restoration. What is this year going to be…will it be better? Will this year bring moments of peace? So many questions are running through my mind…At least I know that whatever comes my way, my faith is unshakeable.

I am looking forward to diving deeper into my faith with bible journaling and Yoga. What!? Is that even possible?

To this first day of 2020 I say, ” Bring it! I am ready to dive into God’s plan, to embrace the mission placed in my heart…ready to be Restored!

With a new year coming, I am starting over. I’ve lost my posts I had created this year. I guess that’s okay because my new word for the year is changing too.

I have selected a new word for 2020 and it is is Restoration. The defintion according to (Merriam Webster Dictionary) is the following: a bringing back to a former position or condition and a restoring to an unimpaired or improved condition. This word selection comes from choosing 1 word to focus on for an entire year rather than a big list of resolutions that do not get accomplished. You can find more details here: OneWord365

I have further examined this idea of restoration by praying and found a bible verse to help me along in Psalms 51:10 NIV “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me”. Restoration is a renewing of my mind, body, heart, and soul.

To spark the restoration coming in 2020, I bought a yoga kit so that I can restore my mind and body back to the healthy person I was before having children. 2019, I have had to help my Dad and his health has been declining. This last stint in the hospital has opened my eyes. I don’t want my children to have to go through what I am going through with my Dad.

The next part in this restoration plan is that I have become an affiliate and am participating in an online fitness program for christian women called Faithful Finish Lines. To begin this journey, I have signed up for the 7 DAY WEIGHT LOSS PRAYER CHALLENGE which is a FREE challenge so that I can learn more about this program. Challenge runs January 6-12, 2020; please join me!

So, I will continue to have other affiliate links in my blog posts and that will be items that I am reviewing or have purchased for myself as well as companies that I have decided to add to my affiliate portfolio. These companies have items that are family friendly. You might find camping supplies, fitness equipment, kitchen utensils, leggings, and more. Here is a complete list of companies:
